Why did I get a message from Anvul?
The message came from a trades firm — a plumber, an electrician, a builder — that uses Anvul to run its jobs. When the firm books a visit, sends a quote or a bill, or takes a payment, Anvul sends that message for them. The firm named in the message sent it.
Who is Anvul?
Anvul Ltd is a UK software company (Companies House 17111703). We make the app the firm uses for its diary, quotes, bills and job updates. We are not the firm, and we do not do the work.
Why did I get it?
The firm has work on with you, or for your home: a job you asked for, or one arranged for you — by your landlord or letting agent, for example. The firm gave us your contact details so we could send you its messages about that work.
Who is responsible for my job?
The firm named in the message. They answer for the work and the price. If something is wrong, ring or email the firm. If the firm has given us an email address for replies, replying to the message reaches them; if not, your reply comes to Anvul, so it is quicker to contact the firm directly.
What happens to my details?
The firm gave us your name and contact details so we can send your job messages for them. We keep them safe, use them only for that firm's work with you, and never sell them. The firm decides what is kept; our privacy notice has the detail.
I wasn’t expecting this message
Contact the firm on a number or email you already have for them, and they can tell you what it is about. Or tell us at [email protected] and we will look into it.
How do I stop the messages?
Tell the firm — they can switch your messages off. Or email [email protected] with the email address or phone number the messages go to, and we will stop them. Messages about a job you booked (the time, the bill, your receipt) stop when the job is finished.
