Updated 13 October 2026 (the build fee is taken when you ask us to start; we begin building once we have your brief) · free app · Anvul Website £49 to build, then £49/month · no VAT (Anvul not VAT-registered) · supersedes the £99 build + £99/month terms for new purchases · legacy ownership purchases keep their own terms (section 6)

1. What the platform does

Anvul builds a done-for-you website for a trade firm — any trade — and runs it as a service for £49 to build and £49/month (see section 5). Every enquiry your site takes lands in Leads, in your Anvul account, which is free of charge. Your site is hosted and run by Anvul: it lives on an Anvul address from the day it goes live, and if you have your own domain we can connect it for you (section 5).

A person at Anvul builds the site for you and you approve it before it goes live — a concierge service, not a self-build tool. A new firm's account has Website, Leads, Messages with Anvul and Settings. The rest of the Anvul app — jobs, quotes, invoices, the diary, customers, books and the crew app — is being tested with founding firms, and Anvul switches it on firm by firm (see section 5).

Figures, suggestions and calculations the platform produces are decision-support, not a guarantee. The work you do for your customers, and its design, suitability and sign-off, remain your responsibility as the trade firm. Anvul does not itself carry out trade work or certify anyone's work.

2. Who can use it, and accounts

You must be 18 or over and able to form a binding contract to use the platform. Anvul is for businesses: when you buy, you confirm you are buying for your business. If you accept these terms for a company, partnership or other business, you confirm you are allowed to bind it, and “you” means that business. If you create an account you agree to:

If you add other people to your account — crew, office staff or a bookkeeper — you are responsible for what they do in it and for removing their access when they leave.

3. Acceptable use

You must not:

What we can do if these rules are broken is in section 10 (“If we suspend or end your service”).

4. Leads and enquiries

Enquiries that come in through your website are yours:

Your customers’ details. When you use Anvul to handle other people’s personal details — the enquiries, photos and messages that reach you through your website and Leads, and, where Anvul has switched them on for you, your customers, jobs, quotes, invoices, payments and your crew’s details — you are the controller and Anvul processes those details on your behalf, only on your instructions (UK GDPR Article 28). Our data processing terms form part of these terms and set out what we process and why, how we keep it secure, the sub-processors we use (and how we tell you about a new one, and how you can object), how we help you with people’s requests and with any breach, where data is stored, and what happens to it when you leave. If these terms and the data processing terms disagree about personal data, the data processing terms win. We send review requests and other messages to your customers only because you, or the settings you choose, ask us to.

Keeping your business information confidential. We keep your business information that isn’t public — your prices, your books, your customer list and your messages with us — confidential. We use it only to provide Anvul to you, and share it only with the providers that help us run the service (bound by written terms) or where the law requires. We may also use information from across Anvul in aggregated, anonymised form — totals and averages that can’t identify you, your customers or anyone else — to run and improve the service and to show firms benchmarks. We never show another firm your identifiable business information.

5. What you pay: the website is £49 to build and £49/month, and the app is free

One price, and VAT. Anvul is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is charged — the price shown is the price you pay. If Anvul becomes VAT-registered, VAT at the rate that applies will be added on top of the build fee and the monthly price for every firm, founding firms included, and we will email you at least 30 days before we start adding it. A build fee you have already paid never has VAT added to it afterwards. If your business is VAT-registered, you may be able to reclaim that VAT.

Parts being tested. Parts of the app Anvul switches on while they are being tested (jobs, quotes, invoices, taking payment, the diary, customers, books, VAT and CIS, and the crew app) are free and provided as they are. They may change, and we may switch a part off; if we switch off a part you use, we will tell you first and give you a way to download what you put into it (unless we have to act sooner for security or legal reasons). Check figures before you rely on them, especially anything you send to a customer or to HMRC. This doesn’t reduce our responsibility under section 9 for losing or mishandling your data.

How your website goes live. When your site is ready, we tell you in the app and by email. It then goes live, and the £49/month starts, on whichever of these happens first:

  1. You approve it (in the app, “Approve and go live”). You can also approve by telling us directly — by phone, WhatsApp, email or in person. We’ll record when and how you approved, and your website goes live and the monthly starts from that day.
  2. 7 days pass after we told you it was ready, and in those 7 days you haven’t asked us for changes, messaged us about your site, or asked for your £49 back. Your site is then treated as approved, exactly as if you had approved it yourself.

Until one of these happens, nothing is published and no monthly payment is taken. The £49/month is normally charged to the card (or other payment method, such as Link) you paid the build fee with.

The 7 days, in detail. We remind you twice before the 7 days are up: 3 days after your site is ready, and the day before it would go live. Asking for changes, or messaging us about your site, stops the count; it starts again, from the beginning, when we send you the changed site. A person at Anvul checks every automatic approval before anything is charged. If you paid the build fee under an earlier version of these terms, your site is never approved automatically: it goes live only when you approve it. You can cancel at any time (see section 10).

Your card, and monthly payments. By paying the build fee you authorise Anvul to save that card (or other payment method) with our payment provider, Stripe, and, from the day your website is approved — by you, or automatically after 7 days as above — to charge it the monthly price that applies to you under this section (£49 a month for founding firms) once a month, on the same date each month, until you cancel. We use the saved card only for these payments. You can cancel in Settings in the app at any time; to change the card, message us. We email you a receipt for the build fee, and we’ll send you a receipt for any monthly payment if you ask.

If a payment fails. We’ll tell you by email, and the card will be tried again over the following days. If a monthly payment still can’t be taken, your website may pause to its holding page until the payment is sorted out. Your Anvul account and your leads are not affected. If you think we’ve charged you wrongly, please tell us first — we’ll look into it and refund anything taken in error. If a payment you authorised is reversed through your card provider (a chargeback), we may pause your website while it is sorted out.

If you decide against it before it’s approved, we refund your £49 build fee in full. The one-off £49 is taken up front so that we can start building. At any time until your site is approved — by you, or automatically after 7 days — you can take the £49 back yourself in the app (“Get my £49 back”) or ask us, and we refund it in full. No monthly payment will have been taken. The refund usually reaches your card within 5–10 working days.

No part-month refunds. Each monthly payment covers the month ahead. If you cancel, your website stays live to the end of the period you have paid for, and we don’t refund part-months — except where these terms say otherwise: the refund before your site is approved (above), if we end the service on notice (section 10), and if you are not buying for a business (below).

Cancelling pauses the website, not your firm. If you cancel or stop paying for your website, it stays live to the end of the period you have paid for and then shows a holding page. Your Anvul account and what is in it — your leads and, where Anvul has switched them on for you, your jobs, your customers, your books and your crew’s app — are unaffected and remain free. Nothing you have put into Anvul is withheld from you because of a subscription.

Where your site lives, and your own domain. Your site is hosted and run by Anvul and goes live first on an Anvul address (like yourfirm.sites.anvul.co.uk). If you already have your own domain, we connect it to your site for you once it is live, at no extra charge — we do this by hand for now. Connecting it doesn’t move it: your domain stays registered where it is, and we never take it over. If we ever register a domain for you, it is registered in your own name and is transferable — it is not locked to Anvul.

What stays yours. Your content (your photos, copy, prices and business information) and your leads are yours (see section 4), and you can ask us for an export of your site (see section 10).

Founding price. The founding price is for the first 100 firms to buy an Anvul Website: the build fee is £49. A firm is one of the first 100 if its £49 build fee was paid and not refunded, counted in the order we received payment, one place per firm. The founding price is available until those 100 places are taken or until 31 March 2027, whichever comes first. After that, the build fee for new firms is £299, and the fee shown at checkout applies.

Your founding monthly price. If you are a founding firm, your monthly price stays at £49/month for as long as your website stays live with us without a break, even if we charge new customers more later. Cancelling your website is a break. A monthly payment that fails is not a break if it is paid within 14 days of when it was due. The lock covers our £49 net price, not VAT: if Anvul becomes VAT-registered, VAT is added on top as described under “One price, and VAT”. Founding firms get the same Anvul Website service as everyone else. The founding price stays with your website if Anvul’s business is sold or transferred to someone else. If your website ends and you come back later, the monthly price for new customers at that time applies (you aren’t charged the build fee again for a site we have already built). The founding price doesn’t stop us ending Anvul Website on notice under section 10.

If the monthly price changes. The price shown to you at checkout is the price that applies to your purchase, and it takes precedence over any older copy. The build fee you have paid never changes afterwards. If you are not a founding firm, we may change the monthly price of your website: we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies, and if you don’t want to pay it, you can cancel before then (section 10) and you will never be charged it. A change never applies to a month you have already paid for. If you bought your website under our earlier ownership model, section 6 applies to you instead.

If you are not buying for a business. Anvul Website is sold to businesses, and at checkout you confirm you are buying it for your business. If the law treats you as a consumer instead, you can cancel within 14 days of the day you pay the build fee, without giving a reason, and we will refund everything you have paid us — even if your website has already gone live — within 14 days of you telling us. By paying, you ask us to start work straight away, beginning with taking your details. To cancel, tell us clearly by email to [email protected] or in Messages with Anvul; you don’t need a form. After those 14 days, you can still cancel at any time as in section 10.

6. Websites bought before 12 July 2026 (legacy terms)

Before 12 July 2026 Anvul sold websites as a one-off ownership purchase (£1,499 in total). That model is closed to new customers, who buy under section 5. If you bought — or paid a deposit towards — a website under it, the terms you agreed when you bought continue to apply to that purchase in full; email [email protected] and we’ll send you a copy.

7. Your content, your website, and our platform

You keep ownership of the content and data you put into the platform — your photos, videos, words, prices, business information and the records you keep in the app. You give Anvul a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, store, adapt (for example resize, crop or lightly edit) and display that content, and to let our hosting and service providers do the same for us, only so we can build and run your website and the service. The licence ends when the content is deleted, apart from copies in short-term backups or that the law requires us to keep.

Your website. Your domain, your leads and the content you gave us stay yours (sections 4 and 5). Once you have paid the build fee, the words, images and graphics we create specifically for your website — including any logo we make for you, and the design as delivered for your site — belong to you too: Anvul assigns to you its copyright in them, so you can use them anywhere (on your van, your cards, your social media), and we will sign anything reasonably needed to confirm it. Our reusable templates, code and components stay ours and are licensed to you under “Our platform” below. Stock photos we use until you send your own are licensed to us by their providers: you can use them on your Anvul site, but they aren’t ours to give you for use anywhere else, so an export leaves out any stock photo whose licence doesn’t let us pass it on. You can ask us for an export of your site files.

What you confirm about your content. You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, the photos, videos, logos and words you give us (including permission from anyone who appears in them or whose home is shown) for use on your website, and that what your website says about your business is true — for example any registration such as Gas Safe, warranties, years of trading and prices. You are responsible for those claims, and we may remove content that isn’t accurate or that you don’t have the right to use.

Reporting a problem with a site we host. If you think something on a website Anvul hosts infringes your rights, is unlawful or makes a false claim, email [email protected] with the web address, what is wrong, and how to contact you. We will look at it promptly, may ask the firm for its side, and will remove or disable the content where we are satisfied it shouldn’t be there. If we remove a firm’s content because of a report, we will tell the firm why and give it a chance to respond, unless the law prevents us.

“Website by Anvul”. Your website shows a small “Website by Anvul” credit linking to anvul.co.uk (not on sites sold through an agency partner).

Featuring your website. You give Anvul a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to show your website, the photos and videos on it, and your business name and logo in Anvul’s own marketing — such as social media (including boosted or paid posts), adverts and anvul.co.uk — and to crop, resize and caption them for that use. You confirm that anyone who took those photos or videos agreed to them being used this way. We never use your customers’ names, addresses or contact details. Before we use a photo or video, we blur faces, house numbers and number plates (or crop them out, or don’t use it) unless the homeowner has agreed in writing to appear in Anvul’s marketing. We will ask you separately before we publish any results, numbers or quotes from you. You can ask us to stop at any time by messaging us: we will stop new use within 14 days and remove it from pages and posts we control (we can’t recall copies others have already shared). If you leave Anvul, we make no new use of your material after 14 days; posts already published may stay up unless you ask us to stop. Asking us to stop changes nothing about your website or its price.

Emails from us. As a customer we may email you about Anvul products and features like the ones you use. You can say no when you sign up or at checkout, every such email has an unsubscribe link, and saying no never affects your service emails (sign-in codes, receipts, previews, new enquiries).

Our platform. The Anvul platform itself — our software, our tools, and our reusable templates and components — remains the intellectual property of Anvul Ltd. Where your website is built using those reusable parts, we grant you a perpetual licence to keep using them as part of your delivered or exported site. You can use anything the app produces for you — quotes, invoices, reports and exports — in your business without restriction. This licence does not let you resell, re-license or rebuild the underlying platform for others.

8. Third parties

Anvul uses other companies to run the service (the ones that handle your customers’ details are listed in our data processing terms). We are not responsible for their own terms or availability, though we choose them carefully and bind those that process data for us under written terms.

Taking payments with Stripe. If you take payments from your own customers through Anvul, they are processed by Stripe under your own Stripe account, and you agree to Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement with Stripe directly. Stripe decides whether to accept, hold or pay out those payments. Anvul takes no commission on them. Refunds, disputes and chargebacks from your customers are between you, your customer and Stripe.

9. Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude or limit. Subject to that:

If the law treats you as a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away your statutory rights, and the limits above apply only as far as the law allows.

10. Stopping, and what happens to your site

You can stop using the platform at any time and ask us to delete your account data, subject to our retention duties (see the privacy policy).

Cancelling Anvul Website. Anvul Website is month-to-month and you can cancel at any time in Settings in the app — there is no minimum term and no cancellation fee. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for: your website stays live to the end of the period you have paid for and then pauses to a holding page (see section 5). Paying again within the 12 months below brings the site straight back. Your Anvul account stays free and carries on as before. You keep your domain — connecting it to your site never moved it — and you can ask us for an export of your site before or after it pauses. Enquiries you have already received remain yours.

What happens to your data. Your website and the free Anvul app are separate. When your website subscription ends, your site shows a holding page and its pages and content stay in your account, so paying again brings it straight back. Your Anvul account — and everything in it — stays open for as long as you use it. If you close your account, we keep its data for 12 months (so you can come back or ask for a copy), then delete it. If your account goes unused for 12 months after your website subscription has ended, we delete its data too. Either way, we email you at least 30 days before we delete anything. We delete sooner if you ask, and keep longer only what the law requires us to keep (for example billing and tax records, for six years). Until then you can download a copy of your data from Settings → Your data in the app, or ask us for an export of your site.

Before your build is approved. Until your built website is approved (by you, or automatically 7 days after it’s ready if you haven’t asked for changes — see section 5), nothing goes live and no monthly payment starts. The one-off build fee you paid up front is refunded to you in full — take it back yourself from the app, or ask us (see section 5).

Existing ownership customers. If you bought your website under the legacy ownership model, the terms you bought under apply when you stop (see section 6).

If we suspend or end your service. If you break these terms, we will tell you what’s wrong and give you 14 days to put it right before we suspend your website or account. We may suspend straight away, and tell you why as soon as we can, if your website or account is being used for something illegal (including illegal content), puts other people’s data or our systems at risk, or involves serious abuse — including abuse of our team. If a serious breach isn’t put right, we may end your Anvul Website service by email. Suspending access never changes who owns your domain or a legacy website you have already taken live, and you can still ask for an export of your site.

If we stop providing Anvul Website. We may stop providing Anvul Website — to everyone, or to your firm — by giving you at least 60 days’ notice by email. If we do, we take no further monthly payments after the notice ends, refund the unused part of any month you have already paid for, give you an export of your site, and help you point your domain somewhere else. This applies to founding firms too.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. If you are a business, the courts of England & Wales alone will hear disputes. If the law treats you as a consumer, you can also bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms — for example when the law changes, when we change the service, or to make them clearer. Each version shows its date at the top, and we will send you a copy of an earlier version you agreed to if you ask. We record which version you accepted and when. When a new version applies, the app and the console ask you to accept it the next time you sign in; you can still read your account without accepting, but you’ll need to accept it before your next payment or anything else the terms govern.

If a change is material, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, saying what is changing and the date it applies from. If you don’t want to accept it, you can cancel before that date (section 10) and the change will never apply to you. Minor changes (such as clearer wording or correcting a mistake), and changes the law or a regulator requires, may apply sooner; for a change made for a legal reason we will tell you as soon as we can.

Whatever changes, these terms will never: raise a founding firm’s £49/month while the founding price applies to it (VAT is dealt with in section 5); take away what is yours under sections 4, 5 and 7 (your leads, your content and your domain); charge you again for a build you have paid for; or change the terms of a legacy ownership purchase (section 6).
